National Green Mentors Conference 2019

A National Green Mentors Conference was organized on two consecutive days of 29th- 30th June 2019 at Karnavati University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The event was organized by Green Mentors - An organization that promotes sustainability through educationin association with Green Mentors Guild - a Network of Green School Principals, University Vice Chancellors and Trainers. National Review Meet: 2 April 2019

A National Review Meet was organised by ENVIS Secretariat, EI Division, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC) on Tuesday 2nd of April, 2019 at Ganga Auditorium, Vayu Wing, MoEF&CC, Jor Bagh, New Delhi. Participants from different Resource Partners and State Hubs across the nation were present. The event began with the inauguration of the ENVIS Exhibition by Shri C.K Mishra Secretary, MoEF&CC accompanied by Dr. Anandi Subramaniam Principal Economic Advisor, MoEFR&CC, Mr Yashvir Singh, Economic Advisor and other members of the ENVIS Secretariat. In the exhibition, the entire 67 ENVIS Centres, of which 32 ENVIS Hubs (erstwhile State ENVIS centers) and 35 ENVIS Resource Partners (erstwhile Thematic centers) showcased their activities and knowledge products on ‘State of the Environment and Related issues’ and ‘Thematic mandates ‘ respectively. National Consumer Week -2018

CERC-ENVIS Resource Partner along with consumer clubs and Consumer Education and Research Centre visited different academic institutes and celebrated National Consumer Week – 2018 ( 24-28 December, 2018). The Department of Weights and Measure and Food and Drugs Control Administration of Gujarat also participated in this campaign. The objective was to acquaint and sensitise the students to the environmental problems and concerns, to inculcate in them healthy personal and social attitudes and behaviour towards the environment. World Cleanup Day -15th September 2018

CERC-ENVIS Resource Partner initiated to celebrate the World Cleanup Day, not for a day, but for the long term to get the sustainable outcome. CERC-ENVIS team planned to clean up the Consumer Education and Research Centre campus. This campaign aims at reducing the amount of materials entering landfills. This will not only reduce environmental impacts, but also build upon a more sustainable future. Composting is one strategy to achieve these goals. Click here for Report

International Day of Yoga 2017

CERC- ENVIS celebrated International Day of Yoga on 21st June, 2017 at office. The centre commemorate the day along with the staff of the host organisation. One of staff member Ms. Sandhya Avinash, a trained yoga teacher gave a talk on importance of yoga and its effect on health and also taught different “asanas” that can be easily done. Report

“NATIONAL SEMINAR on Environmental and Occupational Health June 5-6, 2016 National Institute of Occupational Health (ICMR), Ahmedabad”

National Institute of Occupational Health (NIOH) organised a National Seminar on Environmental and Occupational Health at Ahmedabad on 5 -6 June 2016. The objective of the seminar was to provide a platform for discussion, sharing and exchange of ideas and insights on issues related to environmental and occupational health. One session was dedicated to the Role of ENVIS in National Development.
